Optometry

The goal of the optometry department in both Willmar, Redwood Falls and New London/Spicer is to fulfill the vision and eye care needs of our patients through comprehensive professional services, quality frames, lenses, and contact lenses. This includes the integration of care with colleagues in ophthalmology and other medical/surgical specialties to enhance the quality of life of individuals in our communities.

Our professional services include:

  • Routine preventive examinations.
  • Urgent care and emergency eye/vision problems.
  • Treatment of primary care medical eye disorders including glaucoma and eye infections.
  • Specialized care for people with limited vision and eye coordination problems.
  • Pre- and post-operative care for eye procedures including:
    • Cataract
    • Glaucoma
    • Corneal surgeries
    • Laser for diabetes, glaucoma, and retina problems

We also fully participate in refractive surgery (e.g. LASIK) care.

From routine cosmetic contact lenses to complex cases

Our contact lens services range from routine cosmetic contact lenses including daily wear, extended wear, tinted and multifocal to more complex cases such as:

  • Keratoconus
  • Corneal irregularities
  • Corneal Refractive Therapy (eliminates nearsightedness without surgery in a reversible manner)

Our Optical department has the ability to obtain frames from nearly every manufacturer of any brand while routinely stocking frames such as Gucci, Vanni, Valentino and Coach among other popular brands. We keep pace with the nearly daily upgrades in lens technology and can supply our patients with any lens materials or enhancements (e.g. antireflective coatings). Our frames and lenses have breakage warranties at no additional charge and budget high quality frame and lens packages are available.
