Echocardiography
Echocardiograms show what is happening in your heart. ACMC offers adult and pediatric cardiac echocardiography. These ultrasound images help identify abnormalities in the heart muscle and valves, and find any fluid that may surround the heart. Some heart problems — particularly those involving the coronary arteries that feed the heart muscle — occur only during exercise. For a Stress Echocardiogram, ultrasound images of the heart are taken before exercise and then immediately after exercising on the treadmill.
