Nuclear Stress Test

Nuclear Stress Test is a test where a radioactive tracer is injected into the blood stream to determine if the heart muscle is getting enough blood supply. This test provides information on the function of the heart, specifically the function of the coronary arteries. A nuclear medicine camera takes images of the heart before exercise and then immediately after exercising on the treadmill.
